Key Responsibilities

    • Reporting for duty at the designated workplace.
    • Determining the assigned locomotive for the shift.
    • Obtaining and placing necessary equipment on the locomotive.

        4. Ensuring Safe Train Movement

            • Must undergo psychomotor ability assessments through the Vienna Testing System (VTS).
            • Must be physically fit and capable of carrying heavy objects.
            • Required to complete yearly medical testing and safety behavioral risk evaluations.
            • Candidates must meet the necessary vision, hearing, and mental fitness standards.

            Training Requirements:

            • To become a qualified Train Assistant, candidates must be prepared to go through a rigorous theoretical and practical training program.
