About the Programme
DVT Learnership programme is a work-based learning programme that leads to an NQF registered qualification. Our programme is closely tied to a profession or sector of employment. DVT presently offers two types of Learnership programmes: IT Systems Development and Finance Bookkeeping.
Our Learnership Programmes are registered with the MICT SETA. Throughout their work experience, learners have the opportunity to be guided and coached by highly qualified workers. We employ training providers that are industry leaders in their fields of study.
The Benefits
The benefits of a DVT Learnership programme are that you get an opportunity to fast-track gaining skills and knowledge and get to be mentored by industry leaders, which differentiates our learnership programme from other learnerships programmes. You also get to get real work experience while studying.
After completing the programme, you will receive your diploma and be eligible to apply for DVT’s esteemed internship program.
How does it work?
Joining the Learnership Programme will allow you to participate in a 24-month programme with milestones and certificates, including international certifications. This will provide you the opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of technologies, which will help you make an educated career decision.
Because the aim for the Learnership programme is to have learners who are employable at the end, we have two parts to the programme. You go through the first year and acquire your NQF level 5. Thereafter, in the following 12 months, the same group moves on to acquiring an NQF level 6 (Diploma).
During their time in the workplace, we guide students on a journey. Here, you get to incorporate what you learnt at campus and practice it in the workplace with the guidance of the DVT mentors.
