- POSTS: POINTSMEN PATROLLERS (MANY POSTS)

- Branch: Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD): Regional Operations
- Salary: R110,88 per hour (no benefits)
- Location: Various Regions
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To patrol a designated area in order to enforce general law and order using the authority granted to a peace officer by Government Notice R159 dated 02 February 1979 as amended, with a focus on crime prevention under the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977 and other laws (i.e. National Road Traffic Act, CoJ By-laws).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 10 (NQF level 2)
- No criminal record
- KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Traffic Management and Control
Participate in community-related activities to ensure that public safety services are delivered in accordance with the Batho Pele principles.
School patrol.
