SALARY: R308 154 – R362 994 per annum. The successful candidate will be required to
sign a performance agreement.

STATE ACCOUNTANT FINANCE JOB REQUIREMENTS

State Accountant Finance: A suitable degree in financial management or accounting, or a comparable NQF level 7 qualification; A current driver’s license and at least three years of experience working in a finance setting are requirements.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

STATE ACCOUNTANT FINANCE JOB DUTIES

Key Performance Areas:

Efficient budget management, including budget capturing, budget management, and budget reporting, in compliance with pertinent guidelines. Efficient administration of spending in compliance with applicable guidelines, including processing PAYE, petty cash, and authorized payments. Efficient revenue management that complies with all regulations, including the receipt and banking of all funds owed to the department.

Both internal and external auditors participated effectively in the audit performance. Supervise and manage Accounting Clerks within Finance, Loans and Insurance.
