Driver’s Licence (Code C) Training Opportunities for Unemployed People (X140 Positions)
Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) welcomes jobless men and women between the ages of 18 and 40 who live in the Garden Route District Municipal area to apply for a Drivers License Code C training opportunity as part of the Garden Route Skills Mecca project. The closing date for applications is April 25, 2025.
About Garden Route District Municipality
The Garden Route District Municipality (previously Eden District Municipality) is a district municipality in South Africa’s Western Cape province. Its municipality code is DC4.
Opportunities are currently available within all seven (7) municipal areas of the Garden Route district:
Hessequa, Mossel Bay, George, Knysna, Bitou, Oudtshoorn and Kannaland.
The total number of opportunities available for each municipal area is 20 each.
PROGRAMME AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must have Grade 11 (NQF 3) or equivalent as a minimum requirement.
- Persons must be between ages of 18 to 40
- Men and women must reside within the boundaries of the Garden Route district.
SCOPE OF QUALIFICATION:
A qualified learner will be able to:
- Demonstrate driver attitudes to decrease driving dangers and preserve road safety.
- Demonstrate ways for improving driving abilities and how to use car control systems.
- Drive a motor vehicle in compliance with the system of vehicle control regulations, namely the necessary K53 tests.

- Certified South African ID Copy (ID Card both sides must be copied).
- Certified copy of highest educational qualifications
