Job Description

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) offers great opportunities in our Commercial department. We are searching for young, energetic, and bright individuals for Sales Learnership positions across CCBSA’s many areas. Successful candidates will report directly to the Team Leader: Sales

KEY PURPOSE:

The goal of this program is to provide learners with the skills necessary to understand and become acquainted with the underlying principles of how to increase volume, facilitate the order-taking process, and implement, execute, and monitor merchandising standards for direct and indirect customers within a specific geographical area. Learners will complete the National Certificate.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the sales team in carrying out sales strategy and meeting monthly sales objectives.
  • Learn how to create long-term partnerships with retail partners, distributors, and clients, with an emphasis on brand loyalty and consumer pleasure.
  • Learn and adhere to CCBSA standards for sales ethics, brand image, and customer involvement.
  • Assist the sales staff with day-to-day tasks such as order processing, inventory management, and customer queries.
  • Conduct market research to better understand customer preferences and trends.
  • Provide the sales manager and team leaders with regular reports on sales activity, customer feedback, and market trends.
  • Help the team establish promotional campaigns and merchandising strategies.
  • Attend customer meetings, presentations, and conversations to market CCBSA products.
  • Keep precise records of sales efforts and report on the results.
  • Learn about and adhere to CCBSA standards for customer service and brand image.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.

Accountabilities

If the person in this position is successful, they will be responsible for the following:

  • Create and maintain excellent connections with clients, assuring their pleasure and promptly addressing any complaints.
  • Actively engage in training sessions and development programs to strengthen sales abilities and understanding of CCBSA goods and policies.
  • Follow all business rules and procedures, especially those affecting compliance, ethics, and health and safety standards.

Skills, Experience & Education

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy passed with 40%
  • Two South African Languages passed with 40%
  • Must not have completed the same qualification/learnership in another firm or organization.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must be Employment Equity candidate
  • Applicants must have been unemployed at the time of appointment.
  • Must be between 18-35 years of age
  • Candidates must be willing to commit to the 12 month learnership program.
  • Must live in the locations stated in the advertisement.

General

To qualify for this qualification, a learner embarking on this Learnership needs to obtain a minimum of 120 credits; this learnership lasts 12 months.
