Job Purpose
The primary goal of this role is to provide learners with the opportunity to enroll in a national certificate in food and beverage packaging (NQF 3). They will sign a one-year fixed-term contract during which they will receive both on-the-job and off-the-job training, culminating in a national qualification.
Key outputs and Responsibilities:
- The Learnership program is a systematic learning initiative that integrates both on-the-job and off-the-job learning.
- More theoretical elements of learning with work-based learning are covered in the off-the-job component.
- Learning that offers the chance to put the theory into practice and the additional hands-on experience that is needed
Further characteristics of a Learnership are:
- A national qualification listed on the Qualification Framework (NQF) is earned through a learnership.
- SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) approved unit standards serve as the foundation for the qualification.
- The outcomes and evaluation criteria are included in the unit standards, which are meant to represent value-adding abilities needed in the workplace.
- Using a range of evaluation techniques and the assessment criteria as the benchmark for performance, competence is shown in the workplace.
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum Matric with Mathematics & English
- Technical Courses (N3, N4, N5 or N6) will be an added advantage
- Self-motivated
- Attention to detail
- Ability to interact well in teams
- Ability to work effectively in teams
